Grand trine

I have what is called a dissociate grand trine. This is an aspect pattern that looks like a big equilateral triangle spread across my chart. Grand trines are known for being within one element. For example, having a planet in all three fire signs at 120° from their neighboring fire sign would make such a triangle.
The issue with my grand trine is that two of the water signs, Pisces and Cancer, have planets in very late degrees. However, they still form a trine to the third planet which has stealthily crept into the next sign, Sagittarius, a fire sign. Since the third planet in my grand trine is in a different element there is a bit of intrigue within this aspect pattern. A common description you might hear about grand trines is that they promote laziness, somewhat like "life offered on a silver platter". But if you don't know how to use the opportunities afforded to you by this silver platter, your gifts can easily go to waste. I like to think that the jolt of fire in my grand trine lifts me out of the complacent pattern, but that's not always the case.

I discovered something I never thought of before regarding my grand trine. The pattern in my chart involves the Sun (Pisces), the Moon (Cancer) and Uranus (Sagittarius). This thought came to my mind today, somewhat out of the blue, "I do not like other people holding me down, whether it is through their conscious will over me or my own thoughts about them". This is an ongoing theme in my life. No one can tell me (Uranus) how I should be (Sun) and they certainly can't tell me how I should feel (Moon). If they do, I will inevitably rebel or just detach (Uranus).

The edge

I know...I'm on edge. I'm irritable. I'm moody. I'm intense. My new bangs have caused arguments and emotions. Really? You may ask. I cannot explain why. It's silly, I know. I need to be more zen. It's hard to relax when Uranus is dancing on my Sun/Mars. I cannot control anything right now. As any good Pisces should, I'm just going to go with the flow and have a little faith.

Here's what has been causing me strife the last week...my new hair. (or as some have said, "same old" hair):

Don't I look annoyed? I don't bite, I swear.

Tornado

In my dream last night, there was a tornado. My dreams tend to have identical themes that connect them, such as water--1 out of 3 dreams will have water in some form, river or ocean usually. But last night's dream had a tornado, a first time occurrence for me.

I was crouching on a couch when the twister was coming through, whipping up debris in its path, the home I was in had no walls, just a couch and a large cushion which I used as a shield. The tornado went by once and then a second time. Oddly, I was safe under the cushion.

From Dream Moods Dictionary, a tornado is said to signify emotional outbursts, tempers, feeling overwhelmed and out of control, also destructive relationships.

Similarly, I recently dreamed about having to wade through mucky water in order to hang a poster on a freestanding building. This interpretation seems eerily similar to a tornado:

To see muddy or dirty water in your dream, indicates that you are wallowing in your negative emotions. You may need to devote some time to clarify your mind and find internal peace. Alternatively, it suggests that your thinking/judgment is unclear and clouded. If you are immersed in muddy water, then it indicates that you are in over your head in a situation and are overwhelmed by your emotions.

So, let's just say my emotions have the best of me lately, and that statement is far from untrue--especially astrologically...

Transiting Uranus is conjuncting my Sun and Mars for awhile, which also means he's trining my Moon. Sometimes I forget to look at what other aspects are being activated, and that isn't the only one. The Neptune/Jupiter/Chiron conjunction which is sitting on my natal Mercury is also inconjuncting my Moon. Quadruple whammy? Talk about an emotional roller coaster.

My poor little Moon. Always geting picked on...

On the plus side, Mercury goes direct. Something's gotta give, right?

Sun Opposite (natal) Uranus in the sky today

The sun is opposing my natal Uranus today and the horoscope from astro.com says to expect the out of the ordinary within close personal relationships...
Case in point, Greg is having drinks with an old (female) co-worker from his restaurant days (which was way before we ever met).
I have never been the jealous type, and Greg prides himself on the fact that I have explained to him he is the first man in my life that has ever aroused jealousy in me. This little power(less) interplay I attribute to his Scorpion Sun conjuncting my Descendant.

Another fun tip I just noticed--the Moon is opposing my natal Pluto today, another power play transit! Boy oh boy.

Perhaps I should lay off the booze tonight, so I don't attack Greg as soon as he walks in the door from his little get together with a former female friend.

Cranky

I have been one cranky bitch lately, and it's getting worse.

Now, normally I'm pretty cheerful; I prefer (being ruled by Venus and all) harmony, comfort and being happy. But it's been a struggle to be like that lately. I don't mean the last few days or weeks or even months, I mean the last few frickin years. It's like the ups and downs of the natural hormonal cycle are constantly on their way down.
Perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention to the ups.
Regardless, I am even more restless thanks to transiting Uranus conjuncting my natal Venus/Sun/Mars. So on top of being hormonal, I'm restless too. Moods are constantly swinging, which adds to the "get the hell outta here" feelings.
I'm not used to staying either. I'm used to flying away when things get boring/uncomfortable.
But I feel stuck in it lately, and it's not changing because I'm not running away and I just don't have any other idea how to fix it. Hooray.
Saturn will continue to elevate this enormous feeling of treading water and getting nowhere during his transit to opposition with Uranus (this will be exact in Sept). I'm just trying to figure out what I can do in the mean time, so I don't feel like I'm just wasting my time (another Saturn theme...)

Weeeee!

Friday, April 17, 2009

I have so much mumbo jumbo astro shit on my mind, it's hard to bear it all. I don't even know where to start. I've been reading so much crap lately, it's all just a mess in there, unfiltered, running around with no real aim or purpose.
The current Uranus/Mars conjunction in Pisces has caused quite a ruckus at work, but that's to be expected with three Pisces Sun signs in one place, the boss and his two minions (including me). There's a power play involved here too, and I attribute that to the moon crossing paths with Pluto in the sign of Capricorn.
Venus goes direct today (at about 330pm), currently at 29 degrees Pisces too. I am looking forward to May. It seems to be a pattern for me the last few years, April/May full of activity, apparently astrologically as well. Venus will be at 3 degrees Aries squaring Pluto in 3 degrees Capricorn on May 3rd. I don't think I'll be forgetting that number anytime soon.
Luckily, Saturn goes direct in May, but I'm not so sure that this will be enough relief.

For me right now, Uranus and Mars are still sitting directly on top of my Sun, I'm pretty sure that this has given me a butt-load of energy (and trouble staying asleep despite the melatonin I've been taking).

Greg on the other hand has a major transit--Pluto opposing his natal Cancer moon. I just realized it reached the exact degree on March 3rd and had been within 1 degree since January 23rd. However, Pluto went into retrograde on April 5th, still sitting on that 3rd degree of Capricorn opposing his moon. Sept 12th Pluto goes direct at 0 degrees and I think Nov/Dec will be heavy when he goes back to within a degree of that exact opposition again. Phew. This is gonna be one hell of a year. I'm not so sure if that's a good phew either. I think I'll save my thoughts on this for a later post...right now I think it's important to just get the general idea in mind that Pluto is going to be a big focus for quite some time.

Transiting Uranus conjunct Natal Sun (exact April 25th)

When an astrology reading tells you that you have some big shoes to fill and friends are asking you if you have some major transition going on...then you know that something is stirring. You don't just feel an inkling, you know something big is going to happen.

What could it be, you ask? We'll have to wait and see...
